Roar Roar Dinosaur!

We’ve been having a lot of dino fun around here lately :-)

DSC_0032

It started when we where at a yard sale toward the end of the day,
a lady, thinking my Bam Bam was the cutest, most awesome child she had ever seen
(or she just wanted to get rid of stuff so she didn’t have to pack it all up..either way)
gave him several dinosaurs to bring home
(Thanks Ms. Yard sale lady free is AWESOME!)

We’ve been practicing our Roar! Roar!

And our dino stomping

I ordered extra goodies from my favorite place
We really like this dino land set up thing

It’s good for cars too!

This is also a fun way we practice learning more language
‘in’ and ‘out’

“ut oh”

One day I made a fun sensory small world type box

I put in some cloud dough
(mixed a little coco powder in for a darker color)

leaves
rocks
Fossils (I made by making imprints of little dinos into air-dry clay)

and of course DINOS!

Bam Bam added the cars ;-)

Also, I made some treasure rocks with little dinos hidden inside

find a surprise!

after you dig them out you can match them up to the fossils

Look at this big smile!
We had loads of fun with the dinos

One suggestion though….

it probably needs to be an outside activity ;/
Cloud dough doesn’t vacuum up very easy once it’s been smooshed down into the floor
It was FUN though!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Fun With Saved Lids

Do these look familiar?

DSC_0030

Squeeze pouches are about the only thing I can get Bam Bam to eat…
So we go through a lot :/
Pureed pears in a squeeze pouch = YUM!
Mommy steams pears and evens puts them in the magic bullet = Yuck! (??)
Same with apples, sweet potatoes, squash….everything
I need to figure out how to refill those squeeze pouches!

OK, so I save the colorful lids
because I just ‘know’ they will be good for something…..
one day…:-)

On this day I decided to set some out for Butterfly to explore

She seemed to be impressed

Then Bam Bam wanted in on the fun too…
I pulled out some colored construction paper
for a little learning fun

This one!

Goes here!

When he was all done
(well really when he decided that baby sissy was all done)
He pushed the box around the room

I was wondering what he had in mind…

SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE!
Lots of giggles :-)

Then he put some in the big box

to drive monster trucks through.

Butterfly came over wanting to play some more.

We also built tall towers with the lids to crash boom
but I missed pictures of that I guess.

You can also count them, use them in art projects,
make doll house furniture…
